Advertising Fail - Say NO to Canary Islands

Polar-bear

No matter what where you fall on climate change issues, it's an undeniable truth that polar bears are not surviving the loss of their sea ice habitat. A fact I'm reminded of each time I see this ill-conceived image - so far, one billboard plus these London Underground platform posters.

To the creative/s who came up with this marketing campaign - great job. These are the best global warming propaganda posters I've seen yet.

NGO Eco-Friendly Shopping Bags Needs Distributors

Check this bag recycled from Indian newspaper, handed to me when I made a small purchase at Paper Passions. I love it! The bag tag says the bag is 'made by an NGO whose main objective is to provide education and shelter to street children'. They're looking for established distributors beyond the UK & Ireland. Check out The India Shop if you're interested.

HarperCollins does Sustainable Reading

HarperCollins (London) launched 'The Great Paper Caper' by Oliver Jeffers last night - it's their first FSC book and they couldn't have found a more appropriate vehicle with which to introduce paper stock sourced from sustainable forests. I attended the event with writer-illustrator Layn Marlow for Write Away. And check out Oliver Jeffers beautiful website - he's a supremely talented, down-to-earth guy.
